Job Description:
EHN is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Reporting and Analytics to join our organization. As the Manager of Reporting and Analytics, you will play a crucial role in driving data analysis and insights within our organization, with a specific focus on claims data. Your expertise in healthcare analytics and strong leadership abilities will be instrumental in optimizing operational efficiency, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights. This position requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, along with a proven track record of leveraging data analysis to support decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation, review, and delivery of a portfolio of routine and ad hoc reports focused on provider network performance, population health, and clinical trends.
- Apply your expertise in data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies within healthcare data, translating complex data into meaningful insights.
- Design and develop dashboards and reports to track and monitor healthcare metrics, performance indicators, and financial outcomes.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to support strategic initiatives, including cost containment, quality improvement, and population health management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs), data requirements, and reporting needs to support various business units.
- Collaborate with Operations / IT teams to evaluate and implement data management systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Foster a data-driven culture within the organization, promoting the use of analytics tools and data visualization techniques for effective decision-making.
- Continuously evaluate reporting processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration, business analytics, statistics, or a related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare industry experience with 3 years of experience in healthcare analytics working with medical and/or pharmacy claims data.
- Ability to use SQL to mine and manipulate data from a relational database and use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) to communicate findings.
- Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and creating reports.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive projects to successful completion.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for leveraging data analysis to drive organizational success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working at or with health plans or accountable care organizations.
- Experience using Milliman’s MedInsight tool, or similar healthcare analytic tools.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and processes for integrating additional data sources.
- Familiarity with medical claims and associated coding (e.g., ICD-10, CPT) and healthcare data standards.
